The PR232 ultra miniature card reader is our new RS232 version of our best selling TA32. Use it to read all 3 tracks of standard magstripe cards. Each transaction is timestamped and stored in non-volatile memory for easy retrieval later. This reader has a longer swipe length which minimizes any errors when swiping cards. It contains a built-in rechargeable battery which will give up to 50 hours of continous use before requiring re-charging - that’s over 50,000 swipes! Also, the built-in automatic shutdown (user programmable) powers down the PR232 when it is idle to conserve battery power even longer. Re-charging is simple with the easy-to-use AC wall adapter - the battery is fully charged in 2-3 hours. The easy-to-use RS232 cable connects to a standard DB9 serial jack on your computer for simple data transfer using our TA Reader software. Use the PR232 to track time and attendance, service calls, home visits, outdoor events, VIP and customer loyalty cards, subcontractors and more. It comes with carry case, neck strap, RS232 cable, download software and drivers.
